A qualified chartered surveyor, Richard is one of our equity partners and has over 25 years’ experience in the London investment market. Richard advises on sales and acquisitions across all sectors, working closely with a broad range of clients including institutional investors, private domestic and overseas investors and property companies.  Often, he arranges off-market transactions maintaining client’s confidentiality as well as thinking creatively about how an asset can be enhanced or marketed.

Richard has advised on over £2.5bn of London investment transactions including the £150 million purchase of 10 Grosvenor Street for a Hong Kong investor, successfully acquiring an off-market mixed use asset on Mount Street for £43.5m; a multi-let office investment in Midtown at £24m and the sale of a mixed use Estate in north London for £34m.

He has also advised a charity on the sale of a mixed-use asset in Soho; where he managed a competitive sales process.   Acquired a multi-let office in Southwark advising on value enhancement including the selection of architects and contractors.  Other recent acquisitions include a reversionary office building in Clerkenwell, purchased off-market for a European investor, a 30,000 sq ft Holborn asset for an Asian investor and advising Structadene on the sale of 431-451 Oxford Street.

Robert joined Michael Elliott in June 2021 with a focus on the London office and development market.

His analytical approach to research ensures clients can make informed investment decisions.

Robert holds a degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Bristol.
